You know, I've been following this thing since I originally bought in fifteen years ago this very week. And after an unbelievably long slog, I still don't know what to think about whether or not they will ever be financially successful.

I can certainly see the still existent possibilities, even as the window of opportunity must surely be closing as others eye the market. I still remain hopeful, but skeptical. And above all, CLUELESS.

As has been the case for SO long now.

It was actually a lot more interesting for me to think about this space before it really existed. Thinking about the abstract issues was really a journey of discovery.

They've done a whole lot more to create the trust idea than I expected. Brilliant (if slow) job. Not talking about Wave specifically. I'm talking about everyone in the space. It is wonderful that there are folks who have done the granular thinking. It's just not my bag.

But the broad outline of what they have done and what I hoped they would do matches pretty well.

The big question now concerns the timeline. There's a development timeline which continues forever. I'm more interested in the adoption timeline, which has begun, but which is slow-moving.

Maybe Windows 8 will change everything! ;-)
