What can I say? If anyone here was going to have a problem with prayer or God, somehow I knew it would be you!

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Actually, they didn't "leave" anything out, they merely used the Pledge as it was ORIGINALLY written and as it was recited by Americans for over 60 years. Then some idiot got the bright idea of converting the pledge into a 'national prayer' under the stupid assumption that this would help the authorities spot Communists living among us since everyone knew that Communists were atheists and therefore would never speak the word 'God' in public so all we had to do was listen carefully and when someone skipped saying "under God" we would know who to turn in to the FBI. Hardly something to be proud of now is it that you would use something as stupidly naive as this which could then ruin some innocent person's life all because he chose to exercise his 1st Amendment rights, and I don't mean the one about free speech, but rather the one that so many of us seem to forget, the freedom FROM being forced to participate in state imposed religious activities.

BTW, if the author the Pledge were alive today, the Right would consider him a socialist at best.
