IMO, Obama's tone was solid, he is fighting for "his job".
I wondered, as he was walking into that forum, where half of those politicians loathe him, what he was really thinking? and what he "wished" he could say?
If only he thought more of the unemployed two years ago... not just extending unemployment insurance while extending the Bush tax cuts last December. Extending those tax cuts was a big mistake. The irony, the republicans used them as blackmail for him to get the unemployment extensions, are the same folks complaining about deficit & debt.
I realize he was new to the job & was consumed with the banks & auto industries, but We the people need more.
We have a core problem, barely manufacturing anything, we have an economy built on services & consuming. That doesn't provide a solid foundation for a country to grow on. We need to change that if we want to grow jobs. clo
