...there is a book called "Up the Organization" which tells about the problems caused by organizations. Seems they are created with a "goal" in mind but once created they develop goals of their own. These self developed goals are Survival and Growth and these goals generally run contrary to solving the problems they were created to address.

A sizable portion of the welfare budget is spent justifying a bigger welfare budget to support a bigger welfare organization. Obliterating poverty would eliminate the need for the organization to survive and grow, so we know that ain't gonna happen.

Admit it, clo ... unions don't exist to represent salt-of-the-earth, hard-working, law-abiding citizens ... they exist to exploit, to suborn criminal acts of violence and extortion, and provide cover for those who perform unethical and illegal acts on their behalf. What is going on in Washington State, right now, is just yet another in a long line of actions that prove unions are far more akin to criminal enterprises than they are to supposedly being collective bargaining agents simply looking out for the welfare of workers. It's no wonder that the vast majority of American workers have increasingly shunned membership in these pathetically corrupt organizations.
