At this point, there is NO answer that "makes sense." Or, at least, there is no answer that involves tolerable levels of pain. We're already at the cliff's edge, with forward momentum. There's little to do now except to try and brace ourselves for what's to come, or to pretend nothing's wrong and have a chaotic crash.

Neither outcome is good, but I defy anyone here to propose something that, quote, MAKES SENSE, unquote.

There is NO good outcome. We are broke.

That's exactly the same problem Ed (friend from MA) & I see.
WHY weaken an already weakened program? Makes NO SENSE!
This goes straight to the bottom line of businesses while depleting retirements for the rest.
Give a break on the "income tax", not SS & Medicare!
For some it may ruin their requirements needed to be eligible... clo
