...you got that right. That's the biggest problem I see with "The Fair Tax". They try to sell us on the idea that the corporations will lower their prices when all the hidden taxes are taken out. Personally I think the board of directors would see it as a smorgasboard of bonuses.

The job problem is deeper than that.

We don't manufacture much today.
We are a service based economy & depend on consumers, consuming.
That is not a winning formula.

What gauls me, "American companies" make their goods overseas, where the worker makes crumbs, the factories don't have safety or environment standards & yet when the goods are sold most of them have a % markup as if they were made here! clo
