Cactus Flower,

Reports are he'll include payroll tax holiday & extensions for unemployment.
Those are hardly BOLD actions that warrant the venue he requested...
Obama set the stage for great expectations, AGAIN.

I'm concerned he's made his reelection nearly impossible & the last thing We need is another "Tax cuts cure all" along with "ending regulations" president...
Heaven help us! clo

MR. 300: President Obama's new jobs plan will cost $300 billion, according to reports on Wednesday, and will include tax cuts, infrastructure spending and aid to local governments.

A one-year extension of the payroll tax cut and an extension of unemployment benefits will cost around $170 billion, the AP reports. Another $30 billion is set aside for a tax benefit for companies that hire unemployed people.

Jobs package - which if early reports are correct, looks about 1/5 the size it needs to be to make a big difference - will be dead on arrival due to Republican dogmas. But I'd be overjoyed to see Obama fight for it. At least then the forthcoming election will have meaning.
