But I could never have earned the living that I do without having been educated 9 years in a public school system (my first 3 years was in a parochial school), 4 years at a state university, covered by a state provided 4-year scholarship and national student defense loans (which were all paid back + interest). Yes. I've made it on my own, but not without the benefits of living in a society where certain aspects of if were covered by taxpayer programs and where I and my family have benefited from these and other taxpayer-supported programs and infrastructure.

Well if I am, it's the result of my and my wife's personal efforts. Whatever we have, it was earned through our own sweat and tears as we've never gotten anything that we didn't work for.

...I believe you there sportfan. Most folks who are wealthy got theirs the same way you did. You have earned your money and you deserve to keep it instead of having the gubmint take it away from you and spend it on clean needles for crackho's or midnight basketball or to do a study to find out why monkeys fornicate. I do not have the wealth you have, but am not envious of you in the slightest and don't feel like you owe me anything.
