I've now read several articles on this Nevada shooting, and it strikes me (and several of the covering journalists) that TPTB are handling the gunman's identity / description, etc, with kid gloves. I'm sure more information will soon emerge.

DEVELOPING: A man with a rifle opened fire at an IHOP restaurant in Nevada's capital on Tuesday, wounding six people and killing two uniformed National Guard members in a hail of gunfire before shooting himself, authorities and witnesses said.

A National Guard spokesman told Fox News that three other service members were wounded in the shooting.

A third person was killed in addition to the two service members. The gunman died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds several hours later, authorities said.
