Boehner is showing no respect for the Presidency - seriously? That's just plain silly, clo.

Obama decides he wants to invite himself to make a speech in the house of a co-equal branch of government on the day it comes back from recess. To have a joint session, it must be voted on by the House and the Senate. Congress does not start to convene until 6:30 that evening. Asking that Obama wait until the next day is a very sensible, reasonable request. The only reason for Obama's timing is clearly that he wants to try to upstage the Republican debate. Obama is clearly acting like a petty spoiled child and he is the one who is showing no respect for the Presidency.

Apparently Rush said today, Boehner can refuse Obama's request & he's following Rush's direction.

I think Boehner looks terrible doing this, he's showing NO respect for the Presidency! clo
