It's a gloomy day for me. I have just EXITED CELGENE.
There's nothing wrong with it. It's up $1.36 to $59.65 (I've owned it since $19.00). But I need quite a bit of cash, and I've held most of my other stocks less than a year. I don't want to pay killer taxes on short term gains though I probably will anyway.
It's the end of an era for me and Celgene - though I continue to hold quite a bit of it in the custodial account I manage for my son.
The reason for cash accumulation? There's that land purchase, though I probably have a couple of months yet. There's also Northgate - still selling at a considerable discount to AuRico. And I suspect gold has more selling off to do... probably starting around the time it reaches $1,850/oz again.
It's $1,835/oz right now. Time is short.
