"When I say the words jackboots and goosesteps I wonder how many people immediately conjure up gray scale images of German soldiers marching precisely lockstep, parading proudly and sharply in front of a backdrop of enormous German flags and maybe even adding that vicious little mongoose of a man gnashing out horrible guttural sounds to throngs of starry-eyed and perfectly created onlookers. Do you see the same thing I see when I think of those words or does your mind fix itself around the roll call for this last vote in the house where every Republican Brown Shirt voted the conscience of their party at the expense of the American people. It's best to keep in mind that these same brown shirts voted for a 700 billion dollar bailout for their fascist pillars and yet when the people that they are Constitutionally bound to represent are in need of aid, they all shout in unison like Sergeants in Stalag U.S. "Jawohl le Kommandant" Ve vill vote "NO".
No to help for homeowners...
No to jobs...
No to roads and bridges and hospitals and schools and arts and health care...
No to recovery for the least of these...
"Jawohl le Kommandant" is what our Republican representatives all shouted on one giant goosestep of a vote... and it is amazing to my eyes that even in spite of how thoroughly they have been rebuked for such despicable actions and such immoral choices they still believe that they are not vile and putrescent pieces of leprous hyena shiit. Good Lord, when will they ever learn...
Oh well, I guess some people never change."
