The PRIVATE University where my daughter attended as an undergard and dual majored, and was valedictorian in TWO departments, has over 17,000 applications annually and only 500 are accepted.
NONE are for doctors. HAHVAHD ain't the pre-eminent med school in the nation, but it assuredly is the best place in the world to get a good far left indoctrination of politics as the mush heads go through there.
And, there are plenty of upper tier schools like this one I pointed out, whose qualifications to get in are at a minimum high school valedictorians and a 30 or higher act score.
My son in law went here as well for his undergrad studies and Duke University Med School PAID him $25,000 per annum to come and research and study there while working on his PHD.
It cost him nothing. Something to be said for doing well in other places besides over rated places like yale and harvard.
Darn, that hahvahd law student didn't even place in the top five the year my daughter won second in the nation and her work actually is part of the Virginia Law Review now. Oh, she also is co-chair of the State BAr Association and Affairs on Health in Virginia as well.
And to think, she turned down Yale and hahvahd both and still made it......Will wonders never cease....
