...it's kinda like the coverage Global warming gets. If my coffee is too hot and I put a piece of ice in it to cool it down a bit and the ice melts, all three networks will be there to report it on the evening news and the two cable news channels will do a documentary on it.

"What our politicians did this year was to make a huge fuss out of a petered-out hurricane. Mind you, that's probably better than the opposite, but the early response DID cost the taxpayers a whole lot of money... unnecessarily, as it turned out."

And MSM searches hard to find a few really bad incidents, and show them over and over, spewing it is the what the whole storm is doing.........Wonder what the gumpies were up too when the MSM was showing the FEW bad parts of the storm? Never let bad times go to waste.,

Edit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Perfect article for the occasion, LOL Amazing how this all works........

It ain't over til it's over! It ain't over til the fat lady sings! When are they going to quit milking this story. When I was a kid we lived on the Delmarva peninsula and went through 2 a little stronger than this one and all it did was rain a lot and the wind blew. The surge pushed the river up to our bus stop and that was it.

"This is not over," Obama said in a Sunday afternoon statement from the Rose Garden.
While Irene was far weaker than expected, at least 18 people died in the storm and early damage estimates were in the billions of dollars. But Obama said the toll could have been much higher had it not been for preparation and coordination by FEMA and other emergency personnel.
