Hi tkc,

This is too strong: "The man is simply unproven w/ a long history of nothing but losses and bad decisions."

Steven has been responsible for Wave's major contribution to the development of a new and extraordinarily complex security architecture. He has been responsible for the introduction of an original and extensive product set. He has managed to get Dell to deploy his software on a large scale and been paid for the pleasure. A fair number of positives.

Not saying there are no negatives. But I think you are channelling a view that is more extreme than the history supports.

Hari, I have some reservations w/ your post. 1st, the appearance of $100M in revenues could certainly not be considered "sudden." 2nd Steven has a history of seeing the plum fairy, no reason to think there will be one this time. And, "Steven would have to be pretty stupid to add a bunch of employees that he can't afford to pay." He's done it time and time again. The fact that he added another shelf, in and of itself suggests he's not all that confident that success is in the near term. And yet he continues to add staff that is unsustainable. The man is a dreamer who requires a manager to govern his prodigal behavior. One should utilize caution when a tout urges a large bet to win on a nag that's never won a race and is entered in a higher class. The man is simply unproven w/ a long history of nothing but losses and bad decisions.
