Wow. I thought I'd have periodic updates for you guys as this thing increased, but I'm not so sure anymore that it will increase. We're getting moderate rain and a little wind.

If my wife went out in it and rode a bicycle QUICKLY up the street, I imagine she'd need to brush her hair afterward.

*sigh*

This is my first hurricane. So far, it's a big, fat nuttin'!

I hope those of you further north have better luck.

You'd think from the picture below - and, to an even greater extent, from the video I extrated it from - that it would already be coming down hard.

In truth, though, it's only rained a little so far. And while a very light breeze is now blowing, it was dead calm an hour ago.

Below the satellite pic is a current photo of my neighborhood. I'll post more later if it gets interesting.
