once a child is born they act as if society no longer has any responsibility whatsoever to the mother,

...as you may know from previous posts of mine, I don't give a rats azz about abortion. So saying that, I say this. Society doesn't owe the mother or the child anything. If you feel compelled to support em, there is no law prohibiting that action. Have at it.

My comment about hypocrisy was with respect to those who claim to be 'pro-life' yet once a child is born they act as if society no longer has any responsibility whatsoever to the mother, or for that matter, to the child that they just spent 9 months shouting about how it's life was so scared that they would do anything, including in some instances, killing other human beings, to protect it. Of course, if it dies a few months later due to lack of medical care or a decent place to live; "...well that was the mother's fault. She should have thought twice before allowing a child to come into the world which she could not care for or support."
