I watch CNBC during the day. The figure I was quoting came from the top of the screen. It is supposedly the current price. I usually track the spot price of gass to see where the price at the pump is going. It should come down another ten cents over the next month at the current spot price. If the spot price jumps up, I will usually buy gas before it goes up at the station.
