You don't honestly think that if the minimum wage was either lowered significantly or abolished all together, that corporations would limit paying the lowest wages to only young people? With the current unemployment rate, corporations know that even if they only were offering to pay $5/hour that if they announced that they had 100 job openings, the line of applicants would wrap around the block. And where do you think the increased profit would go, right into the pockets of the CEO's as bonuses rewarding them for their ability to enhance the return to investors. Abolishing the minimum wage would create a PERMANENT class of working poor in this country and would drag down virtually all wages paid to blue-collar and retail employees.

Makes sense to me. Most young people are NOT worth $7.25/hour.

And the ones that are worth more, will quickly prove themselves.

Honestly, I don't know why you liberals have a problem with letting the free market decide what employees are worth.
