This prediction isn't looking too likely. I suppose the matter will be decided Friday - when the GDP numbers are published. Still, predicting $2000 gold for this YEAR doesn't seem at all far fetched.
Who'd have believed that a year or two ago? Wasn't it just the start of 2010 that gold finally smashed through the $1,000 barrier and never looked back?
$2,000 gold, $50 silver this week?

A few weeks ago the suggestion that gold is in imminent sight of $2,000 an ounce and that silver would pass its April-high of $50 would have seemed pie-in-the-sky.
But not this week, it is a simple extrapolation of a very sharply rising trend line and would require nothing more than a repeat of the price advance of the previous week. Incredible but true!
