re: "If I recall correctly, there were many voices coming from the Right saying that we needed to get rid of Gadaffi and that Obama was showing weakness by not responding quick enough or with enough force. So please explain again..."
(1) I question your recollection. I'm sure there were SOME, as there always are, but they weren't Republicans who *I* care for.
(2) Are you implying that Obummer attacked Libya as a concession to the right?
(3) He should, have course, have been a responsible leader and stated that the United States' long-held policy has been to stay out of other countries' domestic affairs when it has little national interest there. But that would take leadership. Obummer doesn't have much skill in that.
To your way of thinking, the United States should have entered the Yugosalavian war and every other civil conflict.
I shouldn't be surprised. Just as Republicans became a party of Big Government almost overnight (a title which Democrats have reclaimed, btw), the Democrats have suddenly turned into a party of war. Have fun with THAT.
When I look from GWB to Obummer, I can't help but think about Animal Farm.
"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."
Shame on them all. And shame on those of you who defend what's happening today by suggesting that it was okay when GWB was doing it. Wrong is wrong, and you guys ought to know it.
