Snappy, things change with time. I agree that really old models were likely not so good. I remember when made in Japan stood for "junk" and I am sure you do to! lol!!! But I can tell you from first hand experiences that our Mazdas, Mitsubishi, Kia Optima, and Lexus ES300 have been exceptional and free of mechanical difficulties.
In fact the Lexus has over 400,000 miles on it and except for some belts and hoses and brakes and fluid changes, nothing at all wrong with it. My brother has an Accord and it has been problem free. My last American car was a Monte Carlo. I was in love with that car the first two years I had it. After that, it was all downhill. HAd to replace the fuel injectors, TWICE. One time it was two weeks before Christmas and cost $2000. I wasn't happy. Then the fuel filter went bad. Of course, its in the gas tank. The list just kept getting ;longer and I finally had enough. No more JUNK made by the UAW and Detroit car companies.
I have been HAPPY ever since. BUT, in America, you have the right to BUY what YOU want and say what you want. One of the great freedoms of being an American. You get whatever you like and appeals to you kind sir! I am sure you will like it and enjoy it. the best,
micro.... |
