It appears that the Republicans are already gearing-up to oppose one of Obama's rumored new proposals, that is extending the current payroll-tax temporary reduction another 12 months, out to the same date that the Bush tax cuts have been extended. It would appear that since only those people making $106,800 or less per year would get the maximum benefit from THIS, that the GOP has decided that there actually ARE tax cuts which they will vote against. After all, what good is a tax cut if the people who clean up the piss and crap in the executive washrooms benefits more from it than the CEO's, who put the piss and crap there in the first place?

What the Republican fear the most about this is that if the payroll-tax cut IS extended another 12 months they could potentially be seen as arguing next year, just before the elections, for a further extension of the Bush tax cuts while claiming that we really need to allow the Obama payroll-tax cuts to expire because we need that revenue to help balance the budget. That would not seem to be politically wise, now would it?
