Decomp,

Many Republican/Tea's, believed even if we didn't raise the debt ceiling we would NOT have defaulted.

Between you & me, many politicians in power are very limited in the area of economics and the global economy.

Let's not forget the banking/mortgage debacle, that still has us in a recession/depression.
"Pro's" should have known better that designer mortgages were phoney & would haunt us.
Even "I" knew that! clo

What Huntsman doesn't understand (or care about) is that when the country DOES default . . . which it will, disturbingly soon . . . the added debt that's just piled on will screw over even more people, making the crisis that much worse.

I don't know why liberals (and a lot of Republicans, too) can't seem to grasp that concept, but they never do.
