...getting unemployment insurance for being on strike is a prime example of the gubmint interfering in the private marketplace. The only thing I could think of more ludicrous is a gubmint employee gettin unemployment while on strike.

Those 45,000 employees would lose their health insurance by the end of the month.
So, the union did the right thing, get them back to work & retain health insurance.

Besides, they would also be elligble to collect unemployment soon. They saved us paying unemployment for 45,000 more.
