Those 45,000 employees would lose their health insurance by the end of the month.
So, the union did the right thing, get them back to work & retain health insurance.

Besides, they would also be elligble to collect unemployment soon. They saved us paying unemployment for 45,000 more.

And that is the reason they are going back on the job. You would not expect union leaders to take a cut is pay just so the members could stay out on strike, would you?
