...when I first hired on with T, they had a program where you could take management courses. I was a switchman and they kept the overtime for us down to around zero, so the only way you could make more money was to get promoted. Anyway, I kept a course or two going for the first ten years of my work there. Every time I completed one, they put a certificate in my personell file. One day I get an envelope from the human resources people with all my certificates in it. They had been required by law to remove thesse certificates from everyone's file because it might have caused them to "discriminate" against folks who didn't do jack schidt to better themselves.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs! |
