I first started using this moniker full time as a prodigy user in '94 (I tink)...so you understand what I am about to state is 100% true!
The birth of the TFWG:
In the late '80's/early '90's I used to received Forbes Magazine at the office. And at the time I believe you "only" needed about $300M to make the Forbes 400. My frens and I used to dream about how we could get into the club. You may remember, this was a period when every freak'n idea that had internet or laptop in it was WORTH BILLIONS (remember Mikie Dell????). Eventually we gave up on that dream and settled on 'what our number was' because hitting a million with just about any small bet on a NAZ internet/computer play was a sure thing in those days. And man, did we make money!
Anyway, making that club never escaped me. So in 1992 OR 3 (I still have the mag tucked away somewhere) I was reading the new Forbes 400 when it struck me...my AH-HA moment...just about the entire list of Forbes 400 members where all TALL FAT WHITE GUYS!
And the rest...is history, my monikier, the dream, the flag I carry: All I want to be when I grow up -- is a TFWG!
