'cradle to grave' employment with a middle class
life style was the norm.

Reagan spending on Star Wars fueled the silicon
revolution which begat the Internet and a gazillion
technological innovations which, still today, are
enabling those American Companies which make use of
the newest technologies to improve their profit
margins.
(Like bull dozers made earth moving much cheaper,
new drive electronics make energy use more efficient.
Computers enable today's businessmen to collect and
analyze more data in less time and run their companies
more efficiently than ever before. All thanks to
