I worked on WS for a while, I don't know if what he writes is true. But I can confirm, there are massive methods to make a quick buck spinning on WS every moment of every day.

My dinner with............Who's the madman over at table #7 ?

I leave my post at 7:30 this morning to go out into "the other world" and get back
to the computer at 6:15.

The IDCC MB has been just buzzing with messages. Rumor this, rumor that. News here,
analyst sound bites there.

And I'm thinking to myself: Boy, did all the homies get taken for a ride today. Mind you, it's the kind
of ride that everybody wants to go on, but it's still smoke and bs all the same.

1. For weeks now, I keep writing about "Predators". So yah, the analogies are "cute" and "entertaining" but when the rubber hits the road on Monday, everybody is hard pressed to even entertain the idea that Google, that sweet, lovable American Insitituion wrapped in apple pie and leftover WWII war bonds, could ever be so calculating as to drop a biggie on the living room carpet just before the guests arrive.
2. Last week, I write about "Rumor Seeding" and again, mosty people think that it's another of Berk's cute little posts, but that kind of thing doesn't apply to IDCC.

3. Yesterday, I put up two posts, one about how Algo trading flurries are triggered and the second a now 5yr old article about how computers are being trained to read and interpret the News and then make trading decisions. Again, barely read and considered innapplicable by many folks running on this MB.

And what the fuck happens today?

And you people can't see what is going on because of a several point ejaculation in the PPS?

I've written about this before too, but I'll remind you all.

Thomson Reuters not only reports the News, they now can make the News.

They are far, far more dangerous than anything connected with Rupert Murdoch

Now, if you were one of those deep-pocketed big folks who got pissed off by Monday's events and wanted to launch a counterattack, what would you do?

You know when IDCC trading goes "soft in the middle" during the daytime.

You know that anything attached to Reuters will trigger massive instantaneous algo responses.
So, you find a relatively unknown and possibly even cub reporter attached to Reuters and you feed that reporter some "info" from your imaginary friend "Deep throat".......and why not make that call at around , say 10:30 so the reported can fuss with it for awile before getting it out on the wires somewhere between, say 11:00 to 11:30?

Bang, while your counterparts are half way out the door and lusting after their first Martini of the day, you drive a huge volume
spike right into their hearts. F'ing brilliant.

Nah, can't happen here.

That Berk, he's just some miserable paranoid with an arrogant attitude. He don't know shit, even though his shit might be fun to read.

Yeah, baby, it's all just coincidence.

Ya feel me on this?
