Hi ZIM:

Didn't read your link and just glanced your post, but I assume my answer will be that human beings try to get as much as they can of the good stuff.

Unions will keep seeking more and more theoretically limited only by the adversarial relationship between labor and management. However other factors may be in play such as government regulations or lack of a true adversarial relation as is the case with government workers negotiating with other government employees for their compensation. These and other external factors are what wingers should be concerned about, not changing human nature or stifling labor in its relations with management.
