In the traditional Democrat stronghold of Wisconsin:

State Senate - District 2
Republican Robert Cowles - 60%
Democrat Nancy Nusbaum - 40%
This is in a district that went 52% for Obama and 46% for McCain in the 2008 election.

State Senate - District 8
Republican Alberta Darling - 54%
Democrat Sandra Pasch - 46%
This is in a district that went 51% for Obama and 47% for McCain in the 2008 election.

State Senate - District 10
Republican Sheila Harsdorf - 58%
Democrat Shelly Moore - 42%
This is in a district that went 50% for Obama and 48% for McCain in the 2008 election.

State Senate - District 14
Republican Luther Olsen - 52%
Democrat Fred Clark - 48%
This is in a district that went 52% for Obama and 47% for McCain in the 2008 election.

State Senate - District 18
Republican Randy Hopper - 49%
Democrat Jessica King - 51%
This is in a district that went 51% for Obama and 47% for McCain in the 2008 election.

State Senate - District 32
Republican Dan Kapanke - 45%
Democrat Jennifer Shilling - 55%
This is in a district that went 61% for Obama and 38% for McCain in the 2008 election.

So, all six of these districts went strongly for Obama over McCain in 2008, but the four Republicans who won their recall elections, won with substantial margins - three of the four won by margins in the double digits. The only tight race was District 18 where the Democrat eeked out a 2% margin in a district that Obama won by 4% in 2008. The only blow-out Democrat win was in District 32, which was already expected by everyone because this heavily Democrat district gave Obama a 23% margin of victory in 2008.

So, all in all, this was a major victory for the Republicans and the people of Wisconsin ... and a major loss for the union-controlled Democrats, whose main interest is to continue lining their pockets with taxpayer money, especially after the unions and the Democrats spent $35 million trying to buy these elections.
