I realize that statement may seem overly simple. But the fact is, without blocking patents, i.e., patents which will force cross licensing, appl owns all.

HTC, Samsung, Google, Huawei, ZTE can each throw
a couple ( like 3 )of billion into a pot to buy IDCC as a consortium . Get Intel involved and they can manage the security issues.
