Gold topped $1,745 a few minutes ago. This is nuts...
Actually, it's the FIRST time that gold's run has ever felt like it was exuberant. However, I have to weigh that against many years where gold wasn't rising the way it should have. I guess I'd better get used to it, because I'm sure not going to sell my long-term holdings.
If tomorrow is anything like today, gold will be $1,800 by mid-week.
BTW, earlier today I tried and failed to sell the newly bought KGC shares. I was trying for $16.04, but I missed it by about 30 seconds as KGC took a 70 cent hit over the next half hour and eventually closed at $15.31.
Sometimes, when I miss a score by mere seconds, it really DOES feel as if someone is watching me! Happens more often than you might think, too. It would have been delightful (and probably not believable to you guys) if I'd been able to exit KGC at $16.04 and buy it back half an hour later at $15.30.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
