"Hundreds of other sources". There are many hundreds of Neocon websites who parrot the same garbage in order to saturate (It's all over the News) and mislead (Tax cuts for rich folks are good) their feebleminded winger audience. Trashing the NY Times is a primary principle in every one of one.

As America is dumbed down, the middleclass is decimated, and the internet becomes ubiquitous, serious newspaper readership is plunging. Long Live Faux Nooz, People Magazine, and AmericanThunker.com.

ktc,

re: "Yet, know-nothings will drag a Paul Krugman (The Times most prominent liberal) piece from the editoral section, then rant that the Times is a Commie, Pinko, Socialist, Islamofascist Liberal Fishwrap."

I'm guilty as charged. I don't read the Times hard copy. It's not a cheap newspaper.

But I rarely read the online edition either, even though much of it is free.

My exposure to the NY Times comes in the form of a hundred other sources who reference articles and provide the link. OVERWHELMINGLY, these sources are painting the NY Times as an extraordinarily biased, liberal newsrag.

If what you say is true, then I find it EXTRAORDINARY that the paper is not making a major effort to change its image. It is, after all, losing readership in dramatic fashion and is, debatably, on the verge of going out of business. But I've seen ZERO indication that it is doing so.

Do you have any thoughts as to why that might be?
