Decomp,

"I think it's also SKIN COLOR. We've never had a President before who had the undying, unwavering support of certain ethnic groups. And if THAT doesn't speak directly to the competence of our voters, I don't know what does."

Guess you missed the discontent by the Black Caucus & others of "color".
They are UNhappy with this president, regardless of his "color". clo

Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) Blasts President Obama on Debt Ceiling Deal, Calls for People to "March on the White House"

Monday, August 01, 2011 Janet Shan

Black lawmaker, Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) blasts President Obama & John Boehner for debt deal, calling for people to "march on the White House."
Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), whose wife Monica Conyers is currently behind bars on a bribery conviction, is calling for people to "march on the White House." Conyers made the call at a press conference held by the House "Out of Poverty Caucus" and blasted President Obama over the debt ceiling deal.

Rep. John Conyers said:

"We’ve got to educate the American people at the same time we educate the President of the United States. The Republicans, Speaker Boehner or Majority Leader Cantor did not call for Social Security cuts in the budget deal. The President of the United States called for that. My response to him is to mass thousands of people in front of the White House to protest this."

re: "It's the charisma, it overrides incompetence with the ignorant set."

I see no charisma, but if you say so then I'll take your word for it. He must appeal to the ladies.

I think it's also SKIN COLOR. We've never had a President before who had the undying, unwavering support of certain ethnic groups. And if THAT doesn't speak directly to the competence of our voters, I don't know what does.

The United States needs to have voting requirements - not to exclude anyone (although that is a separate issue I support), but to ensure they must put some effort into learning about candidates, positions and issues before they 'pull the lever.'
