other thoughts floating around when we make comparisons to Nortel....

it took some time by the owner/creditors to decide to sell the Nortel portfolio (in buckets). There was much discussion of holding onto the patents and licensing them as an NPE. When they reached the decision based on possible outcomes of the various scenarios... they then allowed "outsiders" to peek under the skirt. Then the real outside DD began.

IMO....I don't think the company has really reached that point yet. Many different paths to travel....and they have to evaluate each. JMO, they probably received interest directly or through their new acquaintances (thanks to the financing deal, and the consortium), and have prudently decided they need to evaluate the future of the company and it's prospects based on the current environment.
