Isn't this what used to be called trickle down theory, and before that horse and sparrow theory? I prefer the latter, with the sparrow served the obvious for its dinner.
is that they are the job creators and raising their taxes stiffles job creation. Those of us that advocate it, ask "then why during the decade since the Bush tax cuts have jobs been destroyed?" They say "because of uncertainty of the economy and the duration of the cuts." Okay, that sounds plausible but we know it's a bunch of hooey. It's more like a "duck and cover" response. Although it's extreme, I gotta ask " how many jobs will Payton Manning's $35M+ per year in salary and endorsements create"? These extreme sport's salaries only cause ticket prices to increase, advertisers product costs to increase. It's not limited to sports stars, look at CEO's, Docs and Tort lawyers etc. I know, their salaries are negotiated,it's a free market and all that. Fair enough, pay them, BUT because they are not job creators tax the heck out of them, because the vast majority of their money does not plow back into the economy, it's saved (or invested) AND those extreme salaries cause inflation, a tax to all the rest of us. I suggest that the portion of excessive income that is reinvested in one's business (or a new one) and adds jobs then that amount be excluded as income. In other words GOP, put it up and prove it and you'll get tax relief, otherwise pay.
