Exactly. And if people do not invest, companies to not grow and hire employees. If companies have to start laying off people to make a profit, unemployment goes up. The government does not now, nor has it ever made a profit. When government controls everything, you end up with a dictatorship and that is where we are headed.

It amazes me how much the country has changed since I was a kid. Back then, family took care of family. If someone lost his job, a relative took in his family and he moved or did what he had to do to get another job. As soon as he was back on his feet, his family moved back in with him. People gladly worked for a living instead of waiting for a government handout. Sure there were beggars. It is always easier to take a handout than to work for a living. But if a family needed help and had no family to help them, the church stepped in. It was embarrasing to need help so most folks worked, especially folks with a family.

why should a hedge fund managers only pay 15%, its unthinkable.

...the fifteen percent rate capital gains rate is what grandma and grandpa pay too if they own any stock. If it goes any higher, people won't invest.
