You should be.

The failure of this economy occurred on Bush's watch and now they prescribe as medications exactly the things which caused the problems. Small government, inadequate regulation, insufficient taxation to cover costs etc. Let's do it all over: housing bust, financial collapse, exploding oil platforms. Doomed to repetition. Doomed to repetition. Doomed to repetition. Doomed.

The US economy is running below capacity and appears to require further stimulus to restore growth. Trouble is, that is impossible within this politics.

The Mad Hatter would be proud.

It really comes back to this - a point too toxic for Americans to contemplate: this isn't a united state, it's a divergent one. The problem is that one size doesn't fit all.

I get that CF. What absolutely fries me are these pseudo righteous, faux fiscal conservatives flat out lying about the real purpose of their obstinate behavior. It was their spending and their tax cuts that got us here. Hypocritic liars convincing uninformed (or ilinformed) to buy the garbage they're peddling. And these idiots buy it. If middle class Republican voters ever opened their brainwashed minds enough to even consider facts and what the Republican agenda really is there is no way they'd vote for them. I just can't believe the majority of middle class America is that stupid. It's scarey.
I think I've mentioned this before, but my Dad won election eleven times in a row. At least 55 years ago he told me "never over estimate the intelligence of the voter." Obviously that goes double today. Repeating myself, the Republican stance has absolutely nothing to do w/ the debt ceiling, it's about forcing gov't and gov't regulation to shrink. They have the majority in the House and the filibuster in the Senate and they are obstinate. The Dem leadership is not strong enough - this is deja vu of the health care debate. I'm really ticked.
