I can't even remember how long I've often said, on the other board(s) (and maybe this one?) that I am completely bored by Wave and SKS, and "someone please wake me if anything interesting ever happens."

These little incremental increases in revenues, quarter after quarter, are lauded by some as great progress. But, for crying out loud, it's been YEARS. Many years. And they're still creeping along, seemingly getting nowhere.

Still waiting for that one revelation that the dam has begun to burst. But I just don't see it.

They say competition is good. It helps "validate the space." It makes one sharper and more efficient. Well, yes, it's good in those respects. But if you can't get your own act off of top dead center, competition will destroy you. And I think I'm beginning to see real stirrings of the sleeping giants.

I gave up on Wave many moons ago, but held to a slight hope that they'd finally pull it off. It was encouraging to see your optimism meter tick up a few times in the last year. But sooner or later there has to be some real substance. The clock is ticking, but I can't even hear it because I AM ASLEEP, this is so BORING.

Please can someone let me know if anything material happens. I'd rather not bother with reading nothing repeatedly.

Management behaviour is quite inscrutable to me. Why hire large numbers of sales people if the existing lot are not producing hot leads? Maybe this is a high risk roll of the dice to see if Wave can somehow break the logjam. With my delayed fuse reflecting my expectation of a lead time between an enquiry and a sale, I now begin to find Wave's apparent inability to take advantage of recent security failures astonishing. A CEO that claims a pipeline of 10-20 hot prospects in an environment in crisis and that somehow delivers none of them must be an abject failure in that department.

If they cannot deliver my minimal four sales in 2011, I'm afraid it is time to ask for a refund, as this show begins to resemble the one put on by Huck's friends, the king and the duke. I don't blame anyone for trying and failing. This happens and you move along a little poorer and a little wiser. Sometimes, it takes a really, really long time, and so long as you know that this is the timescale, you can live with it. But at some point you admit that this tale's about getting trusting fools to pay the ticket price and nothing about the truth of the performance.

Of course, we know the harbour is unsafe. But the fore-knowledge doesn't make it okay to string people along. An honest man admits he cannot produce a result and steps aside so someone else can give it a try. There's honour in that, at least.
