Tea Party Leader Takes On Boehner
Debt-ceiling talks are heading into a critical week, but House Speaker John Boehner is no closer to a deal. Late Tuesday, the Republican leader was forced to postpone a vote on his latest proposal when the Congressional Budget Office told him it came up short in savings - and his party's right wing is still on his back to reject any hike to the debt ceiling. The Daily Beast's Patricia Murphy talks to Tea Party leader Mark Meckler, who heads the movement's largest group. Meckler calls Boehner's plan an "embarrassment," gives the speaker a "D" on his handling of the debt crisis - and promises retribution at the polls.
