So This Is What It Comes Down To
Boehner and the Republican party is going to watch the country burn, metaphorically speaking to aid putting a Republican into the White House on a 2012, "we told you so ticket."
We're going to not be able to pay the bills, default, and force a government shut down just when we don't need it, as we're struggling to get out of a the worst recession since the Great Depression, a recession that started under the old administration for a laundry list of reasons.
Instead of considering the welfare of the nation, Boehner would rather watch it burn. Or would rather the President take medical care away from the elderly, gut social security (which this government has raided for freakin' years - suddenly Al Gore's lock box idea doesn't look so bad), and make college unaffordable, as our college graduate rate drops through the floor and the rest of the world runs us over.
Yup - lets watch it burn. BURN baby burn! Then we can have a Republican in the White House to pick up the broken tiny pieces of a collapsed economy, higher borrowing costs and deflation that would frighten even the most optimistic economist.
We are so hosed.
