UAL (United + Continental) airlines took a beating today and is now to $18.93.
At this level and below, I consider it a buy. Since I didn't buy the property I looked at in NH (but I'm seeing two more tomorrow), I have some cash and MAY give UAL some thought. Most likely not, though. The broader markets look ugly.
As you can see, UAL is at a pretty solid support point. I've been talking about the $19 range ever since I sold my CAL/UAL last year (at about $25, though they made me look bad by quickly jumping to nearly $30.)

On the OTHER hand, it's hard to ignore the debt situation. The markets will jump if a deal is announced. I have no idea how they'll react if Obama assumes the mantle of Dictator as some think he might and decides to raise the debt ceiling without going through Congress.
Tonight's speech will probably be one for the history books. I've never had the stomach for more than a few minutes of an Obummer speech... and since I have no reception in New Hampshire, tonight won't be an exception - but I *would* watch it if I could. Please someone, let me know if he's his usual slimey self.
We live in interesting times. I make that casual comment because I *think* my family will probably survive them. I hope all of yours will too, but the odds don't favor it.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
