I meant more as to the quantity and frenzy of the chatter: every kind of optimistic prediction based on speculation.
of course, I see that the quality of the messages has improved a great deal in the sense that we have a better grip on what the whole sector is dealing with, and based on a lot of hard knocks kind of education in the interim.
but yes, things are definitely very different from that earlier peak, and my thoughts are that we are finally getting to where IDCC ought to be valued.
I am sure that our management team will make the right decision when the time comes.
I just hope that the rise is not crushed by a default of the country.
there's very little in comparison to 1999...1999 was mkt driven...this situation is pretty specific to idc and what they have created OVER THE LAST TWELVE YEARS....back then we had fewer than 1000 patents...now we are working on 18,000...we were on the verge of insolvency...now we got a nice pile of cash....and most of all....WE WERE AHEAD OF OUR TIME IN 1999 AND NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THE SWEET SPOT FOR OUR TECHNOLOGY!!!!!
