clo,
re: "Well done, even though I know you are NOT done with gold."
First, thank you. You're right: I'm not done with gold.
Second, why should I be? Does anyone here think that the U.S. has hit bottom yet... that things are now shaping up? If so, I'd love to hear the explanation for WHY they should be shaping up. What fixes have been put in place???
Naw, there's nothing.
I called things right nine years ago when I got into gold. My *only* mistake was in underestimating how long the collapse would take. It feels like it's going in slow motion, doesn't it?
Collapses always accelerate toward the end. However, where I think we dollar-bears blew it (and I wasn't as bad as some, believe me) was in underestimating the vast wealth of the United States. The fact is, the country was like an almost-bottomless treasure chest, built up over generations by hundreds of millions of people. The plundering that is now underway can continue for a LONG time.
But keep in mind that while the United States' Treasure Chest may have been ALMOST bottomless, that's totally different from it actually being bottomless. There IS a bottom, and it will eventually be reached.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
