Vidal may have been correct-no was- correct, but all it takes is one person in the right place at the right time to make a powerful change. The bigest question is when will our Teddy Roosevelt or FDR show up?
What we need from Obama right now is a consistent line on how unfair it is to rol back tax rates and then watch as money flows to the bank accounts of the rich while the rest of us have less and less.
Maybe he will do that in the campaign, or maybe after he is reelected.
Or maybe not at all, in which case we are screwed after four more years of this.
