'The Drudge Report' is running in big red letters the headline:
"Obama: 80% of Americans want higher taxes"
That's not exactly what Obama said. He said that there are polls which indicate that 80% of Americans want a balanced approach to solving the debt problem. While that does imply that this will include some sort of revenue enhancements (i.e. tax increases) I would hardly claim that if the only question was taxes that 80% of the people would go for it. What the poll was really saying, and what I think the point was that Obama was trying to make, was that 80% of the people want Congress to stop playing politics and do what's reasonable to solve the problem.
