In April, we bought a big canning pot at a garage sale in NH. It had only been used once. I think we paid $40 for it.


*sigh* I just noticed that all posts from before April 12, 2011 have been deleted. Oh well. I'm glad I backed up a couple of the ones I cared the most about. (Such as my top 100 sites of the day list.) No wonder the system has been so fast.

Greenhouse, De. And potatoes. And eggs. And oranges. And winter squash & fava beans. Maybe some squirrel and fish from the trees!

That is an issue, too. Maybe canning starts next year. I haven't figured it all out yet but I am beginning to get the point that this is harder than even I thought it would be (and I didn't expect it to be trivial).
