On the radio yesterday it was reported that reporters working for one of Murdoch's tabloids in the UK may not have merely hacked into people's voice mails, they may have even deleted or replaced them with fake messages in the hope of generating 'leads' for stories that they could claim that only their people knew what was really happening. And as it states in the linked item above, as long as this was confined to members of the royal family or other celebrities or even politicians, the public was willing to look the other way, but now it's coming out that these same people may have been intercepting and even deleting phone messages from a young girl who had been kidnapped was eventually found murdered.
